With the clean switch setting engaged you get all those classic articulated cleans that you would expect from a full sized Mark V. The Fat stage in the middle position on the switch, gives you a round blues tone that's great for rhythm and blues picking. Finally with the switched into the down Crunch position, you get a great crunch tone that fits right in between the cleans and second gain channel. This setting can also be overdriven into high gain by putting the amp into the 10 watt Triode mode and cranking up the gain control, as well as the mid-boost. Finally, the Xtreme mode in the bottom position takes the Mark V gain to a whole new level of rock and metal.
